Professional laminators for document protection and commercial finishing.

Laminating protects printed work and makes it usable in places paper would not survive — menus, signage, ID cards, classroom materials, point-of-sale displays and anything handled repeatedly.

The machines here are roll laminators built for continuous work rather than desktop pouch units, so they suit schools, print shops, sign makers and in-house production teams.

What we stock

The Dry-Lam Element Series comes in 27-inch and 40-inch widths across Standard, Professional and Deluxe specifications. Each is also available as a complete kit that bundles the laminator with a cart, film and cleaning kit. Matching Trade-Lam, School-Lam, Everstick and ALM films, pouches and the DL-CLKIT cleaning kit are stocked under Laminating Supplies.

How to choose

  • Width — Buy for the widest item you laminate — machine width cannot be increased later.
  • Duty cycle — Standard models suit intermittent school and office use; Professional and Deluxe are built for daily production.
  • Film compatibility — Check roll width, thickness in mil and core size against the machine before ordering film.
  • Heated versus cold — Thermal laminating suits most printed work; some materials and mounted graphics call for a cold, pressure-sensitive film instead.
  • Buy as a kit — If you are setting up from scratch, the kits save sourcing the stand, film and cleaning supplies separately.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Standard, Professional and Deluxe models?

Not width — they differ in speed, temperature control and how much continuous work they are built to handle. Standard suits occasional use, Professional and Deluxe are for daily production.

Which film thickness should I use?

1.2 to 1.5 mil for documents and general protection, 3 mil for menus and frequently handled sheets, 5 to 10 mil for signage and anything that must stay rigid.

Can I use another brand's film?

Film must match the machine's width, core size and operating temperature. Dry-Lam film is made for these machines, which takes the guesswork out. If you want to run something else, check those three specifications carefully.

How do I stop bubbles and waves in the finish?

Bubbles usually mean the temperature is too low or the machine is running too fast; waves usually mean tension is off or the rollers need cleaning. Clean rollers regularly with a cleaning kit and let the machine reach temperature before feeding.
