Laminating film, pouches and cleaning supplies for roll laminators. Getting film right comes down to three numbers — width, thickness and core size — and everything else is finish and application.

The range covers everyday document protection through to heavy signage film and sticky-back products for mounting.

What we stock

Thermal roll film includes Trade-Lam and School-Lam in gloss at various widths and thicknesses. The Everstick HLA range provides sticky-back film that laminates and applies adhesive in one pass, in gloss, matte and silk matte from 1.2 mil up to 10 mil. ALM roll films cover gloss, matte, silk matte and elegant silk matte finishes. We also stock single-sided laminating film, uncoated film liner, business card and general pouches, transparency film for laser printers, and the DL-CLKIT laminator cleaning kit.

How to choose

  • Width — Film width must suit your machine — a 27-inch laminator takes 25 to 27-inch rolls depending on the product.
  • Thickness — 1.2 to 1.5 mil for documents, 3 mil for menus and handled sheets, 5 to 10 mil for signage and rigid display work.
  • Core size — Rolls come on 1-inch and 2¼-inch cores. The wrong core will not mount.
  • Finish — Gloss lifts color and contrast; matte and silk matte cut glare for wall-mounted and brightly lit displays.
  • Sticky-back or standard — Everstick HLA if you are mounting to board or a surface; standard film if you are simply protecting a sheet.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which film fits my laminator?

Check three things against your machine: roll width, film thickness in mil, and core size. All three appear on our product pages. Send us your laminator model and we will confirm the right roll.

What does mil mean in laminating film?

Mil is thickness — one mil is a thousandth of an inch. Lower numbers are thinner and more flexible, higher numbers are stiffer and more protective. 1.5 mil is typical for documents, 10 mil for rigid signage.

What is Everstick HLA film for?

It laminates and provides an adhesive backing in a single pass, which is what you want when mounting prints to board or applying graphics to a surface.

Why is my laminate coming out cloudy or bubbled?

Usually the temperature is too low or the machine is running too fast for the film thickness. Let the machine reach temperature, slow the feed, and clean the rollers — adhesive buildup causes marks and bubbles.
