Perforating blades and complete assemblies for Count perforating, scoring and numbering machines. These are wear parts, and a dull blade shows up immediately in the quality of the tear.
Keeping a spare blade on the shelf is the cheapest insurance against a production run stopping.
What we stock
We stock micro perforating blades for clean-edged work, standard perforating blades in 5-1, 9-1 and 12-1 configurations, complete narrow-margin perforating assemblies, and complete standard perforating assemblies.
How to choose
- Micro or standard — Micro perforation for tickets and coupons where the tear edge is visible; standard for general tear-off sections.
- Blade configuration — The 5-1, 9-1 and 12-1 numbers describe the cut-to-tie ratio, which controls how easily the perforation tears.
- Blade or assembly — A replacement blade is usually enough; a complete assembly covers wider wear or a configuration change.
- Keep a spare — Blades fail mid-run, and that is the worst time to be ordering one.
Frequently asked questions
What do the numbers 5-1, 9-1 and 12-1 mean?
They describe the ratio of cut to uncut tie along the perforation. A higher first number means more cutting relative to tie, so the perforation tears more easily. Lower ratios hold the sheet together more firmly until torn.
When should I use micro perforating?
When the torn edge will be seen and handled — tickets, coupons, vouchers. Micro perforation leaves a much cleaner edge than standard.
Do I need the blade or the complete assembly?
For routine wear, the blade. A complete assembly makes sense if the holder is worn or you are changing perforation configuration. Tell us your machine and job and we will advise.
How do I know a blade needs replacing?
The tear starts dragging, the perforation looks ragged, or the sheet tears away from the perforation line instead of along it.
